How can NOLA be non-musical
This is my first non-music post in an all time – But this is supposed to be a photosite so I’ll post a few from our recent trip … I’ve just been shooting live music almost exclusively lately.
Here are some photos from our recent trip to New Orleans.
VAUGHAN’S looks so much different in the daylight!
VAUGHAN’S front door (that’s I’ve never used/seen)
Taken during our bike tour of the Treme (I liked the guy at the door)
Taken during our bike tour of the Treme (I thought this house looked cool)
Taken during our bike tour of the Treme – Our pit stop
Taken during our bike tour of the Treme – Interesting brick work for this area.
Taken during our bike tour of the Treme – Hurrican Katrina markings … We learned how to read these markings: This building was inspected on 9/10/2005 – By a California rescue crew #8. I’m not sure what “COM” means, but the bottom part of the “X” being blank is a good thing – If there were bodies discovered in this structure, the number of bodies would have been indicated here.
Lafayette Cemetery #1 – A Community tomb for the firefighters at Chalmette Fire 02
Lafayette Cemetery #1 – Caught my eye.
Lafayette Cemetery #1 – the entry gates
Magazine Street Po-Boy shop – I loved seeing the painters taking their lunch on the roof.
Cool window in the By Water (near Elizabeth’s)
Algiers
Abandon building in the By Water
A scenic stop on our bike tour.
I forgot to include this one and I love this one … We are waiting in line for the crawfish boil at R-Bar looking at others who have already made it through.
All taken on my travel camera, my point and shoot: LUMIX-LX7

You should do more like these. Great stuff.
thanks Dee! These were all taken on my (relatively) new point and shoot …
Love love the pics.
🙂 Thx Tracy. I appreciate it.
You two have always shown the world how wonderful life together can be! You really should write a happiness book.
Love you both
Big thank you for the tour of New Orleans. Almost felt I was there except I would want a lovely comply car and a ladies maid????
Thank you Auntie.
Amazing photos!
Thx Gaby. You’re cool!
I miss it already! So much character. You really captured it well. Though I feel I need a little credit for pointing out the guy walking into ByWater Music. Just walking down the street, all done up.. Love it there! Can you get sponsored by Louisiana Board of Tourism to document more, and take your (assistant credit) wife?
You’re right – you deserve credit for that one … I’ll add it. And YES, let’s make it happen … We could go to different neighborhoods shooting all day and spend every night at St. Roch Market or Bacchanal …
