people ruin everything
Last week, Sept 25-26, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Scott Reynolds and Chad Price. I offered to help book them a couple shows, one of which was in San Diego, so I drove them down to the show and hung out. It was a lot of fun. We got a room at the lovely Lafayette, had a couple beverages at the Red Fox, grabbed a couple slices at Luigi’s and headed over to the show at Bar Pink.
I had never seen either of the guys do their solo acoustic show, though Scott just recently released a record called Stupid World (which is awesome and you should stop reading this now and go buy it HERE) so I had an idea what I was in for with Scott … He plays a great, upbeat, almost swingy/jazzy guitar and even sprinkles in some ALL songs along the way. I think Scott and Chad work very well together, because they are SOOOO different. In contrast to Scott’s upbeat tempo, Chad is heavy, churning, dark singer/songwriter type of vibe … I loved them both.
I tried shooting some double exposures, just for fun. I’m not sure they were too successful, but I’m going to try again.
Scott, out in front of Bar Pink …
I wish I could have been there!
me too Weave …
Fantastic pictures! I hope everyone in that audience realizes how lucky they are to have been there.
Thx Joel – I appreciate it … I think audience was pretty in tune with Scott and Chad … I think they knew … š
