I have never really had good luck shooting at Alex’s Bar. Don’t get me wrong, I love Alex’s Bar. I just never seem to get myself to the front of the stage for good photo ops until its too late. And when its too late, I end up a few people back from the stage. And I just don’t get my angles … I guess it would also help if I were a little more aggressive in trying to push my way to the front, but I just don’t do that. Actually, the best thing we did last night was simply follow the Night Marchers from the bar area to the stage … That got me (and us) pretty close …
The other reason I don’t have the best luck at Alex’s is that ALL THE LIGHTING IS RED!!! Red lights and digital cameras are not really friends. I wonder if I could get a filter that would help with this? If any photo-gear-heads are reading this, please make a suggestion for this, I’d really appreciate it …
The show was absolutely AWESOME! The Night Marchers and Hot Snakes on one bill! I wish the pictures were as cool as the show … But, whatever, I like these two …
