This might be my favorite picture of the trip. This is in the Uffizi in Florence. I am standing with my back to\u00a0“The Birth of Venus” by Botticelli and photographing all of the people admiring it. I love the girl right in the middle, arms crossed with a “I just ate a lemon” expression on her face.<\/p>\n

This is a photo from the streets of Florence. These people are waiting for a firework display. Look in the background at the bridge … It really gives you an idea of how many people were on the streets at this time. This photo is giving me a stomach ache just looking at it again.<\/p>\n

I don’t think I swear too often in these posts, but the only way I can describe this picture is “Quaint as Fuck.” Sorry, but seriously … We walked up to a restaurant in an area not too full of tourists in Venice. There were tables set up along the canal … We were told there would be a 10 minute wait to be seated. The\u00a0host (how do you spell maitre’d) set up this wine\u00a0box table and chairs, right on the canal for us to wait and have wine. I think I could have eaten dinner right there, it was really great.<\/p>\n
